Christmas is coming
Christmas is growing closer and closer. We have decorated our lot and so have alot of the others here at Wilderness Lakes RV Resort. The other day is really did snow here but it did not stick, it sure was pretty for the short time it was here. Has been cold for several days but that just puts us in the Christmas mood.

Back on our lot
Yesterday we moved back to our lot after finishing the cement work. The lawn is growing and the flowers are planted. Everything is done that we can do until our park model arrives in January. Now we can sit back and relax for a few weeks and enjoy the warm Texas weather. It has been really nice here but it could be a little cooler, but it is much better than the cold of Alaska.

Grass growing
Spend the last few days hoeing and racking the lot and finally we got the grass seed planted. The pictures are not that good but it is now coming up and we can see the green from it. This really makes us feel at home. The weather has been warm in the day time and cool at night. It has rained off and on all day today but they can use all the rain they can get and then even more.

Home in Texas
Sorry it has been awhile since I have done my blog. We have been busy as we have finally gotten to Texas and will be settled in soon we hope. We found warmer weather finally. We have been looking at park models and think we have finally found the one we want. Will try and update the blog more often when there is more time.

Crossing the bridge
We left Denali on Tuesday September 22 and crossed the bridge in Michigan on Monday September 28. We spend the night on the road and arrived in Portage on Tuesday September 29. We will stay here till the 9th of October and then head to Texas. It was a long trip but it will be nice to arrive in Texas and be able to relax.

Leaving Denali
We left Denali National Park tuesday morning at 7:30 am Alaska time. As you can see it was snowing when we left. We traveled all day and crossed the Canada border at 5 pm. We stopped for the night at the Congdon campground in the Yukon Territory. We travel 562 miles on tuesday. Wednesday morning we got up and discovered we were having problems with the electrical system so only travel to Watson Lake, Yukon Territory and stopped for the night. Only traveled 422 miles today but hope to be back on the road in the morning. Would like to get back to the USA as soon as we can. FYI it snow today too. Just want to get where it is warm, have been cold long enough.
