Went to the beach with friends and took Jack. He is not sure he likes the wave but Dennis got him into the water anyway.

Leaving Michigan

I finally finished the Ingersoll family crest that I was cross stitching. It took 4 years to do but it is done and framed.

Dock is in

You can tell it is spring at Giles Campground when the guys get into their wet suit and brave the cold water to put the docks in so the guest will have a place for their boats

The deck is almost finished but we ran out of material, money and time all at the same time. We started our week on at the campground and we will be working for a week then maybe we will finish the deck. Everyone seems to like it and I know that we really really like it.

Deck

We decided to put a deck on the 5th wheel so it will be easier for us to get in and out of. We also decided it would be better for Jack because then he can lay on the deck and not have to be leashed.

CATCUS

This catcus is a survior. A few years ago a couple of our neighbors took a machet to it and cut it down to stub. Then about 3 years ago one of the park employees sprayed round up on it and almost killed it. But it came back both times and as you can see it has grown and grown. Now it has all kinds of new growth on it and it is blossoming for the first time since we have been here. IT IS BEAUTIFUL!!

The 5th wheel has 4 slides and lots of room, Jack loves it. Lets hope the cat does, I know we will.

our new 5th wheel

We purchased a 2005 Open Road 5th wheel. It is 40 foot long and lots of room, we have put a new computer desk and new chairs in the media room. We have been transfering all the things we had in the Motor Home into it for the last 2 weeks and soon we will move it over by our park model and finish packing it. We have 4 weeks and we will start our travels to Michigan and in 35 days we start to work. Our plan is to leave the 5th wheel in Michigan and just travel back and forth in our truck in the spring and fall. We love working in Michigan and being with our family and our new campground family. See everyone in Michigan on April 22nd!!!!!!!!

New floor done

New floor is finally down and even Jack likes it. Now all that is left is to put the trim around the edges. It looks good and it sure feels better to the feet. We are going to enjoy this more than we can say.

We are now replacing our old flooring in the park model. Here we are tearing up the old flooring which was not hard because it was not put down right.

Cover is done

The deck cover is finished and I have put up my Christmas things. We are just about all settled and now we can relax and enjoy the rest of the winter.

Covering porch

We are sick of the birds sitting in the tree and pooping on our porch so Dennis and two of our friends are building a cover over the top. It is about half way done and they should finished it on Monday. Will be nice to sit outside without worrying about the birds and even when it rains.

Work begins

We have arrived back in Texas, unpacked the Motor Home and settled into the park model and with that we have begun the work that needs to be done here. First things first and that was to have this tree removed from our site. It is a hackberry tree and was rotted almost all the way around the base and ready to fall over. When the guys were done taking it down, Dennis then burned the rest of the stump and removed it as well. Our lot looks bare without it and we will miss the shade that it gave but it had to go. Now on to planting grass seed and thinking about what flowers to plant and making the lot look nice, and of course getting ready to put up Christmas decorations.
